How to make a Mini Landscape Terrarium [video]

Do you have dessert or rainforest vibes? See how to make your own mini landscape terrarium, as demonstrated by Desiree.

This post contains affiliate links for your convenience.

What You Need:

  • A glass bowl

Botanical Materials:

  • Sand
  • Pink Tumbled stones
  • Kalanchoe humilis ‘desert surprise'
  • Carex brunnea jubilo
  • Tillandsia Ionantha Ionantha
  • Cork
  • Silvermoss
  • Pincushion moss

How To:

  1. Start by lining the bottom of your glass container with the moss; this gives the bowl its drainage space.
  2. Layer potting soil on top, pushing down to pack it in.
  3. Remove the plants from its (plastic)container.
  4. Create a small hole in the terrarium soil and place the plant carefully.
  5. Arrange soil around the plant until it can stand upright.
  6. Repeat with other plants until they are all planted.
  7. Cover with more soil.
  8. Put the stones in place.
  9. Clean the moss.
  10. Water in your new plants carefully.
  11. Cover the open places of the moss with sand.
  12. Decorate with more pink stones.
  13. Finally, experience the pleasant moment when your ‘green artwork' is ready to become your home-friend.

Enjoy!
